Safe Spaces for Healing, Growth, and Victory
Culturally competent therapy for men and teen boys of color, available online anywhere in Illinois.

A Safe Space To Talk. To Heal. To Celebrate.

Guarding Wellness was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves a space where they can be fully themselves. Here, men and teen boys of color find culturally competent therapy that understands the societal, structural, and personal pressures they carry — and helps them set that weight down.

Whether you’re navigating stress, identity, relationships, or the everyday weight of being a Black man in America, you don’t have to do it alone. This is therapy tailored to you — your story, your pace, your victories.

How It Works

Step 1 — Book a free 15-minute consultation

A short phone call. You describe what's going on in whatever words you have. We tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.

Step 2 — Schedule your initial session

Roughly an hour covering your history, what brought you here, and what you'd want to be different. Share what you are comfortable discussing.

Step 3 — Begin your weekly or bi-weekly virtual sessions

This is where the real work happens. In our regular virtual sessions, we will dive deeper into your patterns, process past experiences, and build practical tools for your day-to-day life.
